Damper control...

I have a multi fuel yukon eagle...wood coal oil...My thermostatically controlled damper has stopped working...The thermostat is OK...It has power to it and appears to be functioning properly but the damper does not move as it used to. What is usually wrong when these damper controls act up...Thanks ...

I don't use the hot rod but I have tankless water heaters...I store well water in a large plastic tank in the basement...The water warms up to basement tempurature...So I heat water from say 62 degrees rather than the 50 degrees straight out of the ground...Less fuel is need to heat the water. I'm sure you all have figured this out by now but I'll bet an A/C coil in the duct work has a plastic pan under it ...Dumb &$$ installers can never come up with a metal pan...

Thanks for the info...I have not measured my draft. Can you have too much draft?...When I open the furnace door I can feel the draft even when the furnace is not lit off. I believe I have suffucient make up air my furnce is located just off my garage, doors are not very tight...I will most likely ge...

I have always (3 years) used nut size coal in my Eagle 1...Seems to work fine. When I contacted a new coal dealer for this winter, he seemed surprised I was using nut...He asked me several times if I was sure that is what I wanted. He does not have the coal on hand right now he says he will get what...
