Re: Chimney

Is DuraVent the only approved liner? What I know about DuraVent is that it is double walled pipe. Is there any single wall pipe (like Flex pipe) that is permitted inside a brick chimney?

Re: Chimney

My chimney is red brick and mortar. It does not have a clay liner. It is approximately 8"x12" interior opening. It also provides the chimney for my water heater. It has been used for coal and fuel oil for the past 80 years and no build up of creasoat is present.

Chimney

I have an older two story home and am thinking about purchasing the SJ125 as an add on to my high effeciency forced air furnace. I have a solid brick chimney and was wondering if that is sufficient? I would rather not have to install a chimney linner if unncecessary.
