Re: Stuck Damper

Success! After seeing how you had the new solenoid rubber banded up I see how bad my old one was. I can push the plunger all the way in, half way out or all the way out and it will stay there. When the damper door opens & closes now it is with authority! Thanks for all the help and have a nice H...

Ordered the solenoid yesterday - expensive little bugger. Any chance you can check and get me a tracking number for it?
Thanks -Mel

Re: Stuck Damper

Not really hanging up but there was a slight resistance as opposed to just swinging freely in the wind. Since we are expecting a cold snap later this week I guess I need to order a solenoid? Do I just need to call in for that?

Re: Stuck Damper

Ok took the damper control off and even when moving the rod up & down with the little play that is on it the solenoid doesn't do anything. So I took the 2 mounting screws off to take the solenoid off and the point that goes into the solenoid was warm. I disconnected the rod from the damper door ...

Re: Stuck Damper

Called in today. Tried using the air compressor to see if something was stuck in the door and then some light oil on the bushings. Still same problem - it will stick both open and closed. When I manually open or close the door it does not swing freely - there is a slight resistance midway. When the ...

Re: Stuck Damper

Just found the article on checking the voltages and I have 30ac at the transformer and 30dc at the solenoid so I am guessing a bad solenoid?

Stuck Damper

Just started up my 3 year old Yukon LWO-112 for the season, and am having a weird problem that the damper is sticking open and therefore burning all the fuel up quickly. I tried a little WD-40 and helped a little but it did it again last night. Any suggestions?
Sincerely...Mel

Re: 4 1/4" disc above wood firing door

How do I control the burn rate - just by loosening the outer black knob?

Re: 4 1/4" disc above wood firing door

I have had my LWO-112 for 3 seasons now. Had not needed in for a couple of weeks but started it back up this morning. I happened to notice that several of the screws on the panel above the wood firing door were loose and some were actually missing. Just tried to tighten up the ones that were still t...
