How often do you have to add wood?

Hi, I've been using Husky I for a month or so and have not been successful as far as loading it up with wood just two times a day. Usually when we do that we get too much heat and wood burns up quite fast. It woks best for us to put a little wood at the time every hour or so to keep consistent fire....

I have to take that back. With closed door and damper one can notice strong air intake into the secondary combustion system (used lighter to observe that). It stops with the door open so it's hard to see that process without glass door. Anyhow if there's fresh air coming above burning flame that has...

I also wasn't able to notice any difference in temperature or color of smoke etc. Theoretically it should work. I'm thinking of trying forced air injection, i.e.connect a small blower to where the disc is and see what happens. Greg
