Re: Dwyer manometer

so on the dwyer manometer that you sell, and I have mounted on the wall, you're saying I should have the goal of the red values on the far left of the device? those are the negative ones. I currently have it set at 0.03 which is in black on the manometer.

Re: cleaning heat exchanger tubes

What's the simplest way to access the smoke baffles? The problem seems to be smoldering wood. Earlier there were 3 pieces of split wood and now there's one smoldering in there even though the temperature according to the thermostat is below where it should be under a wood fire. Tomorrow I'll either ...

I suspect at least some of my wood wasn't dry enough but I'll be having a pro come ...

Re: cleaning heat exchanger tubes

I have black watery stuff on the bottom lip of the door where the secondary tubes are. I'm guessing this is liquid creosote, right? and that it's time to clean the secondary exchange tubes. Is it leaking out the bottom of that door because the door needs to be replaced? or is it more likely that the...

Re: Which furnace company makes a better multifuel

I went to their website and it's definitely an interesting approach to heating needs. Personally I would need to verify that they are still around since their website still says 2004 as the most recent copyright.

creosote removing logs

I have an older (25 yrs +) wood/LP system. Can I burn a creosote removing log in with the wood I burn? Do they actually work?

Thanks in advance,
Eric
